Mary Beth serves in accounting and finance for the Property Management division of Foundry Commercial. As the Controller, her responsibilities include leading the Client Reporting accounting team who accounts for and generates financial reports for approximately 30 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial properties. With over 20 years of both public and private accounting experience, Mary Beth helps manage the financial reporting, cash management, lease administration, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for Foundry’s property management clients. Clients include institutional, REIT, and privately owned assets.
Prior to joining Foundry, Mary Beth worked as a Controller for a high growth company, managing the accounting department and overseeing the daily operations, including all aspects of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. One of her primary responsibilities included generating the company's monthly financial statement package for the Board of Directors and potential investors. She was also the primary liaison with the various auditors and managed the financial statement, 401k, and workers’ compensation audits.
Mary Beth led the team to strengthen internal controls, including the documentation of all monthly processes and implemented functional departmental cross training. Additional responsibilities included investigating and resolving various regulatory tax and compliance issues, filing sales and excise tax returns, and maintaining compliance with various business and tax reporting requirements. Mary Beth is a licensed CPA and has over 10 years of experience as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP, an international public accounting firm, prior to moving to the private sector.
