Experience

Rick Wilson serves as the Director of Project Management for Foundry Commercial, helping oversee Project Management Services in Central Florida, North Florida, and the Carolinas. Rick has over 20 years’ experience in construction & project management, development, and sales in the commercial office, light industrial, and hospitality sectors as a certified General Contractor in the State of Florida. 


Prior to joining Foundry Commercial, Rick started his career in contracting while working for a family owned construction company in South Florida. Shortly after earning an MBA from Florida State University, he obtained his own general contractors license and went on to successfully complete various types of projects across the State of Florida. Some of Rick’s current tasks involve site selection and predevelopment programming, due diligence, creating and validating project budgets, and leading a project management team to successfully deliver multiple projects on behalf of owners and occupiers of real estate.

Significant Assignments

  • Mango’s Tropical Café – Interior and Exterior remodel of existing building for a 56,000 sq.ft. dining and entertainment facility on I-Drive in Orlando. High end finishes completed by world renowned artist, 5 million dollar AV and sound system, and multiple kitchens to serve daily patrons as well as large parties along the I Drive corridor. 
  • CompuCom – 92,500 sq. corporate office build out. Designed in 4 weeks and constructed in 13 weeks. Design included open work spaces, private offices, secured NOC area, FF&E, AV, LV and an outsourced food and beverage service in the kitchen area. 
  • Andretti Indoor Karting and Games – Services include site selection and Project Management. Basis of design includes a 160,000 sq.ft, multi-level karting and gaming facility and 350 parking spots. 
  • Liberty Investment Properties – Program included site selection, due diligence, rezoning, design and construction of 10 hotels between Tampa, FL and Charlotte, NC. Coordination of multiple consultants ranging from legal counsel, design team, local municipalities, contractors and owner vendors. 
  • DaVita Rx, LLC –Build out of a 52,000 sq.ft. facility consisting of a pharmacy and call center operations for the East Coast of the USA. 
  • Quest Diagnostics – 49,000 sq. ft. interior TI to create their National Operations Center in Tampa, FL. 
  • Ravago North America – Full floor renovation of existing, occupied space. Floor templates were 20,000 sq.ft and consisted of 3 full floors, in a multi-tenant midrise building and phased over 3 years.   
  • Howl At The Moon – Interior demolition & renovation of existing bathroom’s, decking & raised VIP seating to meet fire code and flooring throughout the night club - Orlando, Fl.
  • BBVA Compass Bank – Interior demolition and renovation interior space. Coordination of A/V, L/V, IT, Signage & FF&E for a move from the 14th floor to the 13th floor.
  • Friendly’s Restaurant’s– Renovation of dining and kitchen areas – multiple locations, Fl.
  • Visit Orlando - Official Visitor Center for the Central Florida area and operated under the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Multiple theme parks included in the process such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World.
