Scott McKinney serves as a Senior Associate Broker for Foundry Commercial working with an expansive selection of clients in advising them to successful real estate solutions. In addition to working with developers and investors in Nashville, he has a specialization in working with churches, schools and nonprofits in their real estate.
Prior to Foundry, Scott worked at OakPoint Advisors. While with OakPoint he worked as a generalist in all facets of commercial real estate brokerage, negotiating over $41M and 350K SF worth of transactions in his first three years as a commercial real estate advisor in Nashville. He’s executed a wide range of assignments, from multimarket tenant representation, property acquisition/ disposition, adaptive reuse development, and land sales across the country with closed deals in TN, SC, VA, TX, MS, KY, OH, NC, AL and FL.
Before moving to Nashville, Scott took a brief stint away from commercial real estate to work on full time staff with the non-profit Young Life serving on their property staff at Windy Gap in western North Carolina. Young Life is a ministry that introduces teenagers to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. They invite kids to follow Christ, care for them regardless of their response, and change lives in the process. While Scott is no longer working full time with Young Life, he is still very involved as a volunteer with Young Life Capernaum. Capernaum is Young Life’s arm that is specifically focused on serving young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Scott began his career in commercial real estate as a Sales Associate with the Berry Rainsberger Group, the top producing brokerage firm in Gainesville, FL. He also interned with Sperry Van Ness and was a member of Florida State’s Real Estate Society.
After a busy day brokering deals, you might spy Scott at the rock gym, trail running at Percy Warner Park, volunteering with Young Life Capernaum, or hanging out with friends at a new restaurant in his 12th South neighborhood.
