Employee Spotlight

People often say that a person’s true character is revealed in a time of crisis. I had the unique experience of starting with Foundry on February 24, 2020, just three weeks before pandemic shutdowns rolled out across the U.S. Through my first few months on the job, I quickly learned just what this company is made of—and I can tell you that the people who make up Foundry Commercial are the real deal.
I’ve tried to think of exactly how to explain what makes Foundry special, and I keep wishing I could give more concrete examples. However, I’m realizing that a lot of what creates a company’s culture, and what I love about Foundry, is intangible.
Our culture shows up in the fact that people know you by name. It is the way leadership gives their time to build up the next generation of interns. It is how I end up laughing on most Teams calls. It‘s coworkers that give you a call just to see how you’re holding up. It is the small chit chat on Monday mornings with people who are excited to hear about your weekend. It is that sense you get that these people truly enjoy being here and sharing their lives with each other. It doesn’t seem like anything dramatically unique, but these small moments, added up over time, are what make Foundry an organization I never want to leave.
For all of these reasons and more, I take incredible pride in being an employee of Foundry Commercial—a place where it really is personal.
