CHARLOTTE, NC (December 22, 2016) - Foundry Commercial’s Office Tenant Representation team has signed a build-to-suit headquarters relocation for CompuCom Systems Inc., a global technology solutions company that will bring 1,500 new jobs to the Charlotte region. Previously headquartered in Dallas, CompuCom’s relocation is just one in a series of large company moves to the Queen City and its surrounding markets.

With plans to build a $41 million “smart building” in Indian Land, S.C., CompuCom’s relocation is the largest-ever job announcement in Lancaster County history.

“You do a build-to-suit because you can’t find the office space, you can’t find the building that has certain requirements, (but) you also do it because you want a facility that showcases who you are as a company,” said Foundry Managing Director and Principal Brian Brtalik in a recent interview with the Charlotte Business Journal. “In the case of CompuCom, it means using their technology in the building.”

In addition to assisting with CompuCom’s relocation, Charlotte’s Office Tenant Representation team also recently secured a long-term lease for Movement Mortgage’s newly constructed 104,000 square foot headquarters building in Bailes Ridge Business Park.
