Nashville, Tenn. (September 8, 2025) – Critically acclaimed gourmet hot dog, sausage, and burger concept Dog Haus is expanding its award-winning menu and signature beer garden experience to Franklin, Tennessee. Slated to open this Fall, the new location joins the dynamic lineup of recently announced tenants at Canteen on Carothers, a highly anticipated mixed-use development in Franklin’s Cool Springs neighborhood. This expansion marks another step in Dog Haus’ growing Tennessee presence, following the recent opening of its first Nashville-area location in East Nashville.
Canteen on Carothers is a lively indoor-outdoor retail and dining hub located in Franklin’s Cool Springs neighborhood. Situated on the east side of I-65, the 10-acre, six-building project is designed to serve as a vibrant destination in a fast-growing and historically underserved area.
Founded in California, Dog Haus has gained national recognition for its handcrafted, one-of-a-kind offerings, including its 100% all-beef Haus Dogs, proprietary Haus Sausages, and hormone- and antibiotic-free black angus beef burgers – all served on grilled Hawaiian rolls. The restaurant’s chef-driven menu and unique flavor combinations have helped the brand expand to roughly 60 locations across the country.
The new Franklin location, owned and operated by veteran restaurateur Michael Deak, will be tailored specifically to the local market. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and will introduce a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich exclusive to this location. With catering services aimed at the surrounding corporate business community, the restaurant also plans to host run clubs and local events, aligning with Dog Haus’ ongoing commitment to the community.
“As soon as we saw the Canteen on Carothers development, we knew this is exactly where we wanted to be,” said Deak. “When I moved to Nashville, I started out in Franklin, so it’s nice to be opening a restaurant here. Dog Haus is like nothing anyone in Nashville has ever experienced before. We’re excited to be bringing another Dog Haus to the state, just weeks after our first location opens in East Nashville.”
The 2,544-square-foot restaurant will also feature an outdoor patio with fire pits, a beer garden, and a garage-style bar offering seamless indoor-outdoor vibes. Guests will enjoy over 40 craft beers from Tennessee breweries, including more than 25 on tap, plus a full bar. A family-friendly take on a casual sports bar, the space will include 30+ TVs, shuffleboard, ping-pong, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Deak brings more than 15 years of foodservice experience to this venture, having previously operated multiple Tropical Smoothie Café and Jet’s Pizza franchise locations. The Franklin Dog Haus expects to hire 50–60 employees in advance of opening. Dog Haus was recently in the spotlight when social media personality Jake Paul partnered with the brand to open 25 locations and has been working on a signature dipping sauce, “El Gallo,” for its chicken tenders.
