Dallas, Texas (March 7, 2022) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt, today announced that Alex Perry, SIOR has joined the platform as Senior Vice President, focused on land and industrial real estate throughout Texas.
Among the rising next generation of national talent in the land business, Perry has established himself as go-to broker on the buy side for many major institutional developers looking to make land plays. A graduate of Texas Christian University, Perry entered the commercial real estate sector as an advisor in office tenant rep for the highly regarded Swearingen Realty Group. After spending 2 years there, he joined Biel Partners in late 2017, where he spent the next nearly 6 years growing his client-base as a buyer representation specialist, specifically in industrial and land transactions. In 2021, he was named partner, having done more than $300 million in land sales and acquisitions throughout Texas, representing more than 15 million square feet of speculative industrial. At Foundry, he will continue to represent land buyers regionally and nationally – as needed – seeking off-market land acquisitions.
He earned his SIOR designation in 2022, invited to the organization through the rare “superstar exemption,” which advances applicants who meet 200% of the Gross Fee Income requirement and can document 5 or more years in the commercial real estate field.
“As soon as you speak with Alex, you immediately know he’s got an infectious personality and get-it-done approach to doing business,” said Steve Bassett, Texas Market Leader for Foundry Commercial. “His business has been built around hard work and building trust, and the results of all the effort he puts in for his clients speak for themselves. Foundry is already better for having added him to the platform. We look forward to all the great things we know Alex will accomplish here.”
Perry volunteers with the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and has for more than 10 years. He’s an active member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR). He’s an ardent outdoorsman and conservationist, also involved in Ducks Unlimited and the Permian Basin Quail Coalition. Perry resides in Midland, TX with his wife, Kate, and seven-month-old son, Paul.
Perry’s hire comes on the heels of several additional wins within Foundry’s Land Services platform, which has accumulated over $2B in transactions, 400+ total land deals, and 13,800+ total acres. Late last year, Foundry Commercial hired Lawson Dann, a 30-year commercial real estate industry veteran who specializes in capital markets and land advisory functions, as a Senior Vice President based in the firm’s Orlando office. Over the summer, Foundry also brought on Sarah Godwin, one of the Carolinas’ most trusted institutional land investment advisory and sales professionals, as Senior Vice President of Land Services.
