Raleigh, N.C. (May 14, 2024) – For nearly a decade, the retail team in Raleigh at Foundry Commercial has had an edge in the industry because of the unique way the team has been built. And this year, in its annual Retail Influencers publication, GlobeSt. has recognized the Foundry Raleigh retail team among the most prominent professionals in retail real estate.
In a sector where no two transactions are the same, having four highly accomplished brokers solely focused on retail is rare to find. Foundry’s retail team in Raleigh is comprised of James Mattox, Principal, Retail Services; Julie Augustyn, Senior Vice President; Ross Diachenko, Senior Vice President; and Nolan Mills, IV, Senior Associate. They are supported by Senior Marketing Associate Katrina Schroepfer, Senior Graphic Designer Ally Bogaczyk, and Senior Consumer Marketing Associate Blair Davenport. The team specializes in new development, representation of national retailers, market rollout, box leasing, and outparcel sales, as well as outparcel leases.
“Their diverse experience levels stand out each on their own but being together on one team has allowed them to make an even larger impact in the asset class across the Carolinas,” said Jane Doggett, CCIM, Raleigh Market Leader for Foundry. “By putting people at the center of their process, Foundry’s Raleigh Retail team stands out and creates impact with lasting ripple effects far beyond the Triangle. Taking a collaborative approach to each and every transaction, this team has become well-respected not only for the sheer volume of transactions, but for how they protect the relationships at the core of any transaction.”
As noted in the annual publication, “The retail sector is one of the bright spots in the commercial real estate universe. New brands, themes, and store concepts are being tested in various markets – usually to great success, although the moving parts of the economy, consumers, and inflation make the job that much more challenging. Many professionals have become experts at handling lease re-negotiations and developing new innovations for touchless environments, while at the same time working tirelessly to ensure that retail properties serve and revitalize their surrounding communities.”
