Tampa, Fla. (February 27, 2025) – Foundry Commercial is proud to announce that Katie Trott, Partner, has been named among the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2025 BusinessWoman of the Year honorees. Trott was selected from a competitive pool of over 200 nominees, earning a place among just 32 influential women recognized across industries including banking, law, health care, technology, and real estate.
Now in its 21st year, the TBBJ’s BusinessWoman of the Year award is one of the most prestigious honors in the Tampa Bay area, celebrating female leaders who have made a significant impact in their fields and communities. The selection process included a review of nominees’ career achievements, professional challenges, personal lives, philanthropic missions, and letters of recommendation from industry peers. Honorees will be recognized at a special event on March 28.
A commercial real estate expert with more than two decades of experience, Trott has been instrumental in growing Foundry Commercial’s footprint throughout Florida, specializing in site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions, build-to-suit projects, and corporate real estate dispositions. As one of Foundry Commercial’s original employees, she has played a vital role in the firm’s success, representing corporate clients in both local and national markets.
Beyond her professional achievements, she is deeply committed to community service and mentorship. She is a recent graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay, serves on the Executive Board of Florida State University’s Real Estate Program, and actively contributes to various organizations, including Leadership Tampa Bay, Redefining Refuge, and the Habitat for Humanity Gulfside’s Women Build initiative.
“It has been incredibly rewarding to witness Katie’s career flourish. Her dedication to her clients, leadership within Foundry, and deep commitment to community engagement make her an outstanding choice for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s BusinessWoman of the Year honor. We are thrilled to see her hard work and influence recognized in this way,” said Gregg Ickes, President of Foundry Commercial.
