Nashville, Tenn. (May 2, 2024) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt, is proud to announce that Melissa Alexander, SIOR, has been named among the esteemed recipients of the Nashville Business Journal’s 2024 Women of Influence. The awards ceremony took place on April 24 at Nissan Stadium.
This accolade recognizes women who are making significant strides in their respective industries while also leaving a lasting impact on the broader Nashville community. The Women of Influence awards celebrate individuals who are not only excelling professionally but also serving as inspirations and trailblazers for others.
Alexander, a prominent figure in Nashville’s commercial real estate scene, leads Foundry’s industrial brokerage team in Nashville. With nearly two decades of experience in real estate, she has been instrumental in the leasing, sale, and development of industrial properties across Tennessee and beyond. Notably, she has been consistently recognized as one of the top Commercial Real Estate Influencers on social media platforms. Additionally, she co-founded #CREchat, a monthly discussion forum that has garnered praise for its role in fostering innovation and collaboration within the commercial real estate industry.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Alexander has recently become a passionate advocate for firearm safety after her son survived a mass shooting at Nashville’s Covenant School in March 2023. Alongside other families, she has shared her family’s survivor story to help educate others and craft legislation towards safer schools and communities.
Jason Holwerda, Nashville Market Leader for Foundry Commercial, expressed his congratulations to Melissa for her well-deserved recognition among Nashville’s Women of Influence. “At Foundry, we’ve long known that Melissa is a force to be reckoned with, so it’s gratifying to see the rest of Nashville acknowledging her contributions,” said Holwerda.
