Spring Arbor Senior Living, Foundry Commercial’s in-house senior living operator, is proud to announce that executive directors at communities in North Carolina and Virginia won both states’ awards for the top senior living executive director. This feat marks the first time that Spring Arbor executive directors were recognized with top honors in both states in the same year.
Lindsay Potter, Executive Director of Spring Arbor of Outer Banks, was honored by the North Carolina Assisted Living Association (NCALA) with the 2023 Community Leader Award. The award was announced at the NCALA 2023 Fall Conference in Winston Salem, NC.
Kenneth Gibson, Executive Director of Spring Arbor of Williamsburg, was honored by the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) with the 2023 Assisted Living Administrator of the Year Award. The accolade was announced at the VALA 2023 Fall Conference in Hampton, VA.
“Lindsay and Kenneth are both exceptional leaders who embody our mission to enable residents to live their life to the fullest,” said Greg Fox, President of Spring Arbor Senior Living. “On behalf of everyone at Spring Arbor, we are so proud of Lindsay and Kenneth for these well-deserved accolades. They also developed and managed a team of caring associates dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to their residents and loved ones.”
Potter has served as the Executive Director for Spring Arbor of Outer Banks for two years and first joined the community as Resident Care Director in 2020. A Registered Nurse, she has a distinguished career in the healthcare and senior living sectors. Gibson has served as the Executive Director for Spring Arbor of Williamsburg for four years and first joined the community as Resident Care Director in 2018. He has a distinguished career with 14 years in clinical management of assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation settings.
NCALA’s Community Leader Award and VALA’s Assisted Living Administrator of the Year Award both recognize that state’s top executive director for the year. Honorees have demonstrated outstanding leadership through their dedication to the assisted living industry, to their staff, and to the residents and families they serve.
“To have two of our amazing executive directors honored in both North Carolina and Virginia in the same year is truly special,” added Fox. “It’s a first for Spring Arbor and exceedingly rare for any senior living provider.”
