Boca Raton, Fla. (May 19, 2025) – The Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF) proudly announces the appointment of Ted Elam as President of its 2025–2026 Board of Directors. Elam, a Principal at Foundry Commercial based in South Florida, brings extensive experience in commercial real estate to this leadership role.
In the role, Elam will oversee the Board of Directors, guiding CIASF’s mission to provide valuable insights into the industrial, office, and real estate finance sectors. The board is instrumental in organizing signature events that focus on the South Florida industrial and office markets, fostering connections among professionals in the commercial real estate industry.
Additional recently named board members for CIASF in 2025 – 2026 include:
- Vice President: Merritt Etner, Vice President of Asset Management at Link Logistics
- Treasurer: Ryan Sharpe, Director of Operations at Sharpe Developments
- Secretary: Luis Castillo, Senior Managing Director at JLL

Elam’s leadership at Foundry Commercial has been marked by significant achievements. Foundry has developed or completed over 10 million square feet and $1.5 billion of industrial space across South Florida, including notable projects like South Florida Gateway, Osprey Logistics Park, and the Carrie Meek International Business Park. These accomplishments contributed to Foundry being named Developer of the year by NAIOP in 2025, Developer of the Year by the South Florida Business Journal in 2024, and recently receiving the CoStar Impact Award for Development of the Year in the Treasure Coast.
