– Appointments mark second and third multifamily hires in two months, underscoring Foundry’s growing emphasis on this industry segment –
Raleigh, NC (September 22, 2020) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Southeast, is pleased to announce the hiring of John Neal Manning and Trey Riddle, MBA, Senior Vice Presidents of Multifamily Investments, to create the multifamily service line in the Carolinas. They are well positioned to provide synergies and complement the existing service lines by focusing on multifamily dispositions throughout the Carolinas. The two have worked closely together over the last two years, completing approximately 25 transactions totaling over $200 million.
“We are thrilled to expand multifamily sales to our growing suite of full-service offerings,” said John Kelly, SIOR, Principal and Market Leader for Foundry Commercial in Raleigh. “John and Trey bring the experience and expertise to continue the momentum of their success and to grow this segment of our business in the Southeast markets.”
Foundry’s unique, integrated platform – inclusive of both services as well as development and investment (D&I) opportunities – has set the firm up to expand the multifamily segment. At Foundry, Manning and Riddle will build upon their existing strength in investment sales to not only expand land services for multifamily assets but to also work within Foundry’s proven D&I platform to pursue partnership and capital opportunities. Additionally, Foundry’s Nashville office recently added W.B. Scoggin as Vice President in the market, also focused on multifamily sales.
Manning and Riddle join Foundry from Colliers International RDU, where they were named the Top Producing Team in the Raleigh-Durham area in 2019 and have been recognized as top individual and team producers at Colliers each month in 2020.
Manning has worked in multifamily commercial real estate for more than five years. Born in the San Francisco Bay area, but later raised in Pinehurst, N.C., he is a 2006 graduate of Appalachian State University, where he earned a business administration degree. In 2018, he was asked to represent the Colliers National Affordable Housing Team representing the Carolinas in Section 8, Section 42 and LIHTC properties.
Riddle brings a generational knowledge of residential development, construction, and brokerage. Born and raised in Fayetteville, N.C., he began his career at CoStar in Washington, D.C. while he was in business school at George Mason University. He moved back to North Carolina in 2017, where he founded a boutique brokerage firm before eventually teaming up with Manning at Colliers. Riddle earned his bachelor’s in wildlife and fisheries biology from Clemson University.
