Location chosen for talent access, client proximity, and smart infrastructure advantages
Atlanta, GA (June 26, 2025) – Italy-based Ficep Corporation, a global leader in the design and production of automated systems for the fabrication of structural steel and plate, will soon have its new American headquarters at 5525 Ecopark Dr., Alpharetta, GA, 30005, marking a major milestone in the company’s next era of growth. The decision to build in Forsyth County reflects Ficep’s strategic intent to position itself at the intersection of manufacturing, software, and smart infrastructure, while capitalizing on the region’s unique mix of assets.
Ficep selected the new location after a national search, ultimately drawn to the area’s strong pipeline of technical and trade talent, access to world-class IT and software professionals, and exceptional logistics connectivity. The headquarters will be constructed within Ecopark, a sustainable, tech-forward industrial campus created by Ralph Skalleberg and Skaltek Corporation. Ecopark’s natural design elements and environmentally conscious architecture provide a creative, inspiring setting for forward-looking businesses like Ficep.
“Alpharetta offered everything we were looking for: skilled labor, great infrastructure, and proximity to our client base,” said Christian Colombo, CEO of FICEP Group. “This facility will be an important part of our global operations and a gateway to continued U.S. growth.”
Located just a short drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – offering direct flights to Europe – and within close proximity to local clients, the site provides last-mile delivery advantages that align perfectly with Ficep’s operational goals. The region’s tech and trade schools also offer a robust talent pipeline, ensuring a sustainable workforce as the company scales.
The project is being developed by Foundry Commercial’s User Development Services group, which specializes in developing mission-critical, purpose-built facilities for growing companies across the country. Foundry continues to bring deals across the finish line in Atlanta despite broader market headwinds, leveraging deep relationships, market insight, and executional expertise.
