Raleigh, N.C. (May 8, 2025) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm, is pleased to announce that Blake Thomas has joined the Investment Advisory Group (IAG) as a Senior Vice President. Based in the Raleigh office, Thomas will focus on the acquisition and disposition of investment properties across the Carolinas, representing a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth, family office, private equity, and institutional investors.
With 20 years of experience across various real estate disciplines – including investment sales and leasing, development, finance, construction, and engineering – he brings a wealth of industry expertise to Foundry’s growing Investment Advisory team. His practice specializes in office, industrial, medical office, and retail properties, with extensive experience in sale-leaseback and 1031 exchange transactions.
Prior to joining Foundry, he was with the Capital Markets Group at Avison Young, where he successfully completed over $400 million in investment sales transactions. Earlier in his career, he was part of JLL’s Los Angeles office, where he was part of a team representing nearly 4 million square feet of office, adaptive reuse, urban infill development, and entertainment projects on behalf of institutional and private clients. He began his career in engineering and construction, managing a $250 million vertical infrastructure development program for a local municipality from site acquisition through startup operations.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, as well as an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
