Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2022) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt, today announced that Casey Flannery has joined the platform as a Senior Associate with the Nashville industrial team. In this role, she will be primarily focused on agency and landlord leasing.
Flannery relocated to Nashville from Memphis, where she launched and established her commercial real estate career with Cushman & Wakefield beginning in 2015. Since that time, Flannery has become as one of the region’s most successful agency and landlord leasing brokers, including finalizing one of the largest deals in the Memphis market this past year.
Flannery is no stranger to Foundry’s powerhouse industrial team in Nashville. She previously worked with Senior Vice President Melissa Alexander in Memphis before Alexander moved to Nashville to join Foundry. In 2018, the two women launched #CREchat, which has gained recognition within the industry as one of the most relevant and timely uses of social media. The monthly chat on Twitter hosts commercial real estate thought leaders from across the country and has garnered participation and praise from industry professionals, organizations such as Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), as well as esteemed media outlets as two women bringing change and innovation to the industry. Over time, the Twitter chats have evolved into a podcast called CREchat Live.
Melissa Alexander noted, “Casey and I have collaborated on a national level through CREchat and the CREchat podcast for more than half a decade covering a variety of industry topics and breaking trends. She is well-known, respected, and followed within the industry. In addition to her national presence, she has a strong background in agency leasing and a tenacity like no other, making her an invaluable addition to our growing industrial team.”
Foundry Commercial’s Nashville industrial team has established itself as one of the most active in the region, growing five-fold and picking up over 3.5 million square feet of leasing assignments over the past three years. Additionally, just last year, Foundry’s Nashville industrial team represented the buyer on the largest industrial sale transaction in the metro.
“We are thrilled to have Casey join our Foundry Nashville team. With her skillset and relationships in Nashville and beyond, she will continue to help solidify our Nashville industrial team as one of the strongest teams in the region,” added Jason Holwerda, Foundry’s Nashville Market Leader.
Flannery currently serves as the co-leader of the CREW Network Emerging Leaders Council and was awarded the Rising Star Impact Award by the organization in 2021. She also serves as the #CREi Summit Co-chair, a role in which she planned, organized, and hosted a 150-person international conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, bringing together the top commercial real estate influencers throughout the country. Last year, she was recognized as a Pinnacle Producer by the Memphis Area Association of Realtors, and she has also been named among the Memphis Business Journal’s ’40 Under 40.’
Flannery is currently a candidate for the CCIM designation and is also an SIOR member associate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Middle Tennessee State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in strategic media from the University of Memphis.
