Orlando, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2021) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt, has been recognized by GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum among the 2021 ‘Influencers in Industrial Real Estate,’ a distinction that spotlights the achievements of commercial real estate organizations that have helped shape the industrial real estate market.
“Last year accelerated what was already a very strong and growing asset class, and Foundry remains bullish on industrial developments in all of the markets where we do business,” said Paul Ellis, CEO of Foundry Commercial. “We are honored to have been recognized by GlobeSt among other leaders in the industry for our efforts in industrial development, leasing and management.”
Foundry Commercial has completed over 6 million square feet of industrial development with its joint venture partners and has another 9 million square feet of active industrial development underway and in the pipeline. In addition, the firm leases and manages 23.6 million square feet of industrial property.
One of Foundry’s first industrial deals, and a deal of which the firm is still very proud, is the unique public/private partnership Foundry formed with the Carrie Meek Foundation to build out the Carrie Meek International Business Park. As the project was getting off the ground, the partners ensured it would create thousands of new jobs through Amazon and other surrounding businesses, and the Foundation has been working hard to connect those jobs to the residents in the surrounding areas and throughout Miami-Dade County. A significant portion of the profits from this project go back into the Foundation to support programs that help residents in the surrounding areas train for and access the jobs that have been created in the Park. In addition, the Foundation uses a portion of the profits to support its other initiatives in the areas of health care, affordable housing, and education. It has truly been a win-win for all involved.
GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s 2021 Influencers in Industrial Real Estate recognition highlights not only individual pioneers who have made an impact through their efforts, but also entire organizations and the teams within that have become critical to the industry. GlobeSt. launched the ‘Influencers in Industrial Real Estate’ program to recognize the efforts that continue to drive success in the industrial sector. As stated on the outlet’s website: “Of all the commercial real estate sectors, the industrial market maintains arguably the most consistent activity among investors, tenants and developers. Considering the variety of components driving this particular market, such as innovations to robotics and automation, advanced logistics and supply chain offerings, and increased e-commerce demand, the industrial sector continues to thrive as a steady, reliable investment opportunity.” The September issue of GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum features this year’s honorees.
