Winter Park, Fla. (June 3, 2021) – Build out activity is underway at AVA, a new Mediterranean restaurant concept that will inhabit the highly desirable 290 S. Park Avenue address in Winter Park. The restaurant, which will be managed and operated by the same executive management team as Miami-based MILA, will offer diners several experiences thanks to its formal and informal dining spaces, its bars (one traditional and one mixology focused), an underground mixology bar, and a VIP lounge reserved to AVA members.
“AVA cuisine lies on traditional and modern flavors from the Mediterranean and the Cycladic Islands, while infusing the ingredients, the techniques, and the philosophy of healthy and balanced eating, that have been passed from region to region, along the ancient silk route,” stated Marine and Gregory Galy, Co-Founders of MILA Group. “Similar to its sister restaurant MILA, AVA’s philosophy embraces the importance of slowing down, connecting with loved ones, and enjoying the moment to experience a one-of-a-kind dining experience.”
The space, owned by Battaglia Group Management, LLC, was sought after by many restaurant concepts due to its location at the heart of Central Florida’s popular Park Avenue district.
“Despite knowing we had a prime location on Park Avenue, we were overwhelmed by the enormous amount of interest in our space given the continuing challenges in the restaurant industry. We are absolutely convinced we selected the right concept and the right people with whom to move forward,” stated Bill Battaglia, President and CEO, Battaglia Group. “The positive momentum and additional opportunities that will spin off from this exciting multi-experience concept will enhance the Park Avenue District for years to come.”
Foundry Commercial’s Jill Gull and J. Paul Reynolds represented the landlord in the transaction. The general contractor for the buildout of the restaurant is RB Marks Construction, Inc. AVA is expected to open in late 2021.
