Dallas, Texas (July 14, 2021) – Having recently announced the additions of Texas Market Leader Steve Bassett and Managing Director Jim Traynor, Foundry Commercial continues its expansion in the region with the hires of Matt Hurlbut and Dale Ray in the Dallas office. The move exponentially grows the firm’s Office Agency Leasing team in the market. Foundry is a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt, providing leasing, brokerage, building management, corporate services, and project management services. Foundry is also the largest real estate service provider to religious and not-for-profit organizations in the country.
In their roles as Senior Vice Presidents of Office Agency Leasing, Hurlbut and Ray will work closely with other associates in Foundry’s Dallas office to lease office properties and build the office’s growing portfolio of business. They will also coordinate with Foundry’s Development & Investments (D&I) and property management teams to promote the complementary service lines across the platform.
“The greater Dallas-Fort Worth region remains one of the hottest commercial real estate markets in the country, so we’re elated to add industry power players like Matt and Dale to our growing team,” said Steve Bassett, Texas Market Leader for Foundry Commercial. “Their combined breadth of experience and deep networks in the immediate and surrounding areas is already proving a valuable advantage for existing and future clients alike. It is a privilege to now be working alongside them.”
Hurlbut has spent more than 38 years in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining Foundry, he spent more than 20 years with Transwestern Commercial Services, where he served as a principal and was primarily responsible for leasing various office properties in multiple submarkets. While there, Hurlbut closed over 1,500 deals totaling over 11 million square feet. He was also directly involved in business development, asset management, tenant representation and investment sales. Hurlbut received his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University.
Ray has more than 33 years of experience in the industry. He joins Foundry from his position as Principal at Avison Young, where he was part of a team hired to launch the Landlord Services business line in the Dallas region, which resulted in the firm’s growth to over 13 million RSF represented. Ray has represented numerous notable properties and transacted on office deals totaling over 14 million RSF. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University.
Both have been recognized as “Heavy Hitters” by the Dallas Business Journal as well as “Best Commercial Real Estate Brokers” by D-CEO Magazine throughout the course of their careers.
