Charlotte, N.C. (March 23, 2022) – Foundry Commercial has signed seven leases recently at the upscale mixed use shopping destination. Newly signed tenants include a boutique, an art gallery, an international real estate firm, furniture and interior design services, gifts and accessories, athletics, and specialty apparel. The property is leased and managed by Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt.
Recently signed new leases at Morrison include:
- Anne Neilson Fine Art* – a Charlotte-based art gallery dedicated to illuminating the work of emerging and established artists showcasing a variety of styles and mediums.
- Bit By Seoul – a Korean BBQ, Bao Buns & Bar, a new concept by the Seoul Food Meat Company creators in South End
- Club Champion – the nation’s top custom golf club fitter and builder
- Las Olas – offering premier swimwear
- Maison by Kim Mauney – a curated space for furniture, home decor goods, and design consultation
- Naturepedic – organic mattresses and bedding
- Sotheby’s International Realty – a luxury residential real estate brokerage firm. At 5,200 sf, this location will serve as the company’s regional headquarters.
*Anne Neilson Fine Art is moving across the round-about to an alternative space within Morrison but has already been a tenant in the shopping plaza for the past five years. All anticipate opening before summer.
“The trend continues for consumers to purchase goods and services for themselves and families that support the quality of their lifestyles. The focus continues to be on leisure apparel, dining, personal services and home décor and improvement,” said Keely Hines, Senior Vice President, Foundry Commercial. “As such, there has been growing demand for specialty retailers and restaurants and we are excited to continue the curation of unique offerings at Morrison.”
Las Olas owner Daniel James added: “SouthPark is a well-established and vibrant area of Charlotte with some of the best shopping in all of North Carolina that we have had our eye on for quite some time as a potential location. We love Charlotte and the city has really embraced our brand. We found that many customers were willing to travel from other parts of the city, but we had a lot of feedback that we needed to be in SouthPark, so when we learned this location at Morrison was available, we jumped at the chance.”
The team at Club Champion had similar feedback when asked why they chose Morrison for their next location in the Charlotte region. “The golf demand in the Charlotte area is truly one of the strongest in any of our 90+ markets,” said David Steele, Director of Real Estate for Club Champion. “Over the years, we’ve been able to establish an incredible customer base and a reputation for providing Tour-level golf club fittings, and that has led the demand for our services to outpace what we were able to provide in our original location. This expansion opens up more fitting opportunities and more flexibility for our customers.”
Located at the intersection of Sharon Road and Colony Road in SouthPark, Morrison is also home to Barnes & Noble, and several clothing boutiques to include Capitol, Boem, The Reece Boutique, and E Martini. The center has truly become an interior design and home accessories destination with tenants like Circa Interiors, BD Jeffries, Anne Neilson Fine Art, and Maison by Kim Mauney. There are eats and treats for everyone with the center’s variety of restaurant offerings like Bar Marcel, Firebirds, Sabor, Yama Asian Fusion, Yafo Kitchen, and Golden Cow Creamery. Morrison includes the essentials with The Winestore as well as the Spice & Tea Exchange, and services are covered with Salon Lofts, a nail salon, and a dry cleaner. At this time, the 25,200 SF former Earthfare space is available and can be subdivided. Keely Hines may be contacted for leasing inquiries at 704-676-1563 or email keely.hines@foundrycommercial.com.
